Romelu Lukaku brought his post-World Cup break to a close on Thursday evening with a trip to watch the Jay-Z and Beyonce show at a packed out MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The Carters were performing the latest leg of their “On the Run II Tour”, with Lukaku managing to land himself a backstage pass for the occasion.
As such, the Manchester United striker was able to meet his hip hop idol, with Jay-Z sharing a handshake that was proudly shared on Instagram soon after.
Lukaku actually has pre-existing ties with Jay-Z having become the first Premier League player to sign up with the rapper’s sport management agency Roc Nation Sports earlier this year.
The fun didn’t stop there though, as the Belgium international also had the pleasure of spending a little time chatting with DJ Khaled, who is supporting Jay-Z and Beyonce on their tour.
“This guy spreads only positivity. Nothing but more blessings to you,’ Lukaku wrote.
The 25-year-old forward is now due to return to United after agreeing to cut his holiday short by three days in order to take part in his club’s opening game of the 2018-19 season, against Leicester City at Old Trafford next Friday.
