The 25-year-old Brazil international joined from AS Roma last month, smashing the world-record transfer fee for a goalkeeper in a deal worth up to £64 million.

Alisson started training with Liverpool earlier this week following a break after Brazil’s World Cup campaign.

“He obviously has a real presence, he’s smart, he’s very nice and it’s good to have him around.

“It’s only positive, even the performance in training – which is not too important in the beginning – are already exceptional, so all good.

Liverpool play their final preseason friendly against Italian side Torino on Aug.7, five days before hosting West Ham United in their Premier League opener.
