FOLLOWING their stellar performances in Russia, some World Cup stars have earned themselves some transfer attention from big clubs across the globe.


Whether it be guiding their side on a spectacular run, saving their country in the dying embers of a game, or scoring a winning goal, some of these relatively unknown players have caught the eye of some major clubs across the world.


Here’s the top World Cup stars who have earned themselves some transfer attention…


PREMIER LEAGUE TRANSFER CENTRE: DONE DEALS, INS/OUTS


ALEKSANDR GOLOVIN


The key to Russia’s incredible run on home soil during the World Cup was midfielder Aleksandr Golovin, who Chelsea are rumoured to be on the verge of signing.


The 19-year-old was one of Russia’s standout performers, and CSKA have reportedly placed a £27m price tag on his head.


Signing Golovin would be little risk for Chelsea, but potentially have a huge reward.

HARRY MAGUIRE


Maguire caught the eye this summer as he has impressed for England at the World Cup, and Manchester United could reportedly make an offer for the Leicester defender.


The Red Devils are willing to pay £50 million (AU$89 million) for the 25-year-old, despite the Foxes only signing him a year previously for a only £17 million (AU$30 million).

HIRVING LOZANO


One of Mexico’s standout stars during the World Cup was Lozano.


The 22-year-old scored the iconic winning goal in a 1-0 win over the holders Germany in their opening group game.


With interest from Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Tottenham, Lozano is certainly one of the hottest properties in the post-World Cup transfer world.

BENJAMIN PAVARD


His goal will go down as one of the best in World Cup history.


Not only did he play in an unfamiliar role at right back, but the 22-year-old proved himself going forward too.


The Stuttgart defender has turned down Manchester City and Chelsea in preference of a move Bayern Munich instead, according to the Daily Star.


But Tottenham Hotspur have recently joined the race to sign the versatile defender, with Pavard reportedly on Mauricio Pochettino’s shortlist as a replacement for Toby Alderweireld (The Mirror).

DOMAGOJ VIDA


He may have just missed out on a World Cup winners medal but he undoubtedly


played a vital role in helping Croatia go as far as they did.


The Metro reports that the Reds have put together a package worth £20 million (AU$35.5 million) in an effort to lure the 29-year-old to Anfield this summer.


Despite his antics which saw him receive a warning from FIFA after their win over Russia, the Croatian centre back will undeniably sure up Liverpool’s defence, with the possibility of playing alongside fellow countryman Dejan Lovren.

DANIEL ARZANI


Daniel Arzani is reportedly close to signing with Manchester City in an Aaron Mooy-style deal, but the City Football Group are fighting off interest from Italian giants Juventus.


Currently contracted to Melbourne City, 19-year-old Arzani is expected to sign a three-year deal with parent club Manchester and, as was the case with Mooy, be immediately loaned out.


He featured in all three games during Australia’s World Cup campaign and made an immediate impact in each one.


KASPER SCHMEICHEL


Chelsea are reportedly ready to make a move for Leicester City’s Kasper Schmeichel.


The 31-year-old impressed in the Premier League last season and carried that form into the World Cup with Denmark.


According to Sky Sports, both he and Petr Cech are on Chelsea’s reported shortlist of replacements for Thibaut Courtois, who could leave this summer.

IVAN PERISIC


Despite his heroics for Croatia throughout the World Cup, Perisic has ruled out a move away from his current club Inter Milan, according to the Manchester Evening News.


His response comes in the wake of constant links to Prmeier League heavyweights -Manchester United.


The 29-year-old came into his own in Russia and was instrumental in helping the Blazers to the final, stepping up with a goal and two assists against England and France.


EMIL FORSBERG


Arsenal have reportedly opened talks with RB Leipzig over star man Forsberg, according to The Sun.


The attacking midfielder helped the newly-promoted side become genuine title contenders last season and impressed further by helping Sweden miraculously top their group ahead of Germany and Mexico.


Contracted until 2022, it would take a bid of at least £40 million (AU$71 million) to see the 26-year-old leave the German club.
