It's amazing how a single one month tournament can change a players' entire legacy.
So, here we present few of the top and most inform players in the world who can achieve that one month of brilliance and become immortal in the coming summer
Messi:
The Argentinean Magician already has one of the most decorative careers in football history with over 30 team trophies and an insane amount of individual awards and records to his name. He is truly one of the greatest of all times if not the greatest.
One of the most talented player of all the only thing missing from his illustrious career, which also holds him down from claiming the title of the undisputed greatest of all time, is a major international trophy which has eluded him his entire. Although he has won an Olympic gold medal with his nation but that trophy has no significance for a player of his caliber. Many times he has come inches close of lifting a trophy with his nation, but he never could go all the way. But football has given him a chance to redeem himself, with him pulling Argentina out of the depths of World cup qualification humiliation and with him in the form of his life, he now has a final chance to break his International football curse.
Ronaldo:
Talking about international curses, Ronaldo and co finally broke Portugal's curse at the international stage two summers ago, showing the world that he is more than capable of leading any team to glory no matter the quality. All that's missing from his legendary career is a brilliant World cup campaign which will truly put him at the pinnacle of the footballing world. Having transformed himself into the ultimate goal scoring machine, Ronaldo is having one of the best goal scoring form of his career, with having scored around 20 in his last 10 games which is one of his best spell ever and an astounding figure. If he keeps on firing on all four cylinders this summer he might just lead his nation to a World cup trophy and etch his name in history as the Greatest ever.
Neymar:
Despite being out with an injury for the past month, Neymar is still leading the race in some major statistics across the league. That's how exceptional he is. He is without any doubt one of the best players in the world and has been for the past few seasons. With him leading the charges, Brazil was the first team to qualify for the world cup in the CONMEBOL qualifiers. Without him the Brazil national team seems lost and week as seen on numerous occasions, especially at the World cup 2014 in the game against Germany, despite having one of the best squad in the world. Without him they seem mediocre. He glues everything together for his national side and if he pulls off something special this summer then Brazil are genuine contenders for the World Cup.
He's already mentioned in the list of all time Brazilian greats at the age of just 26 and if he leads his nation to glory then he might move up to the very top of that list and be in the company of all time football greats.
Griezmann:
The Euro 2016 Golden boot winner has picked up amazing form since the start of the year. One of the most versatile attackers in world football. He can play anywhere up front and can also create for his side and with this ability he will cause danger to the oppositions from all around the pitch this summer. It will be hard for any team to stop him as seen in the last Euro edition, such is his talent.
The driving force behind France's Euro 2016 campaign, if he is able to put that marvelous display together again then he might actually lead France to glory this time.
Kevin De Bruyne:
It's hard to pick anyone over Eden Hazard from the Belgium national team squad but with the season De Bruyne has had it would be unjust not to pick him as Belgium's best player going into the World Cup this summer. With reaching the best form of his career, under manager Pep Guardiola, De Bruyne has created more than 100 chances this season and has recorded 15 assists for the 2nd consecutive season. With this form he will be Belgium's best creating option this summer and with Hazard and Lukaku up front to convert them, Belgium would be a force to be reckoned with this in the World Cup.
Salah:
Enjoying the time of his life. Mohammad Salah or better known as Mo Salah, has been a nothing short of a  sensational this season after signing for Liverpool last summer. Leading Liverpool into the Champions league semi finals. He's scored 30 goals this season in just 32 appearances. What makes this even more impressive is the fact that it's his first season at Liverpool, which has already earned him the status of a true premier league superstar.
With this astounding form he also took Egypt to World Cup after 27 years of missing out on football's showpiece event. With his last minute penalty that could make or break his country's dreams to final.
