Socceroos transfer news: Trent Sainsbury, Aaron Mooy linked to moves
TRENT Sainsbury is on the move, but there are conflicting reports over his likely destination. The Socceroos defender has been on the lookout for a move away from Jiangsu Suning and his exit was all but confirmed when the Chinese Super League club dropped him to their reserves side.

English Championship club QPR have firmed as favourites to land the 26-year-old, but Sainsbury posted a cryptic photo on his Instagram story.
It comes after reports that Suning have suddenly upped their price for him with just six months left on his contract.
It’s put his European move in doubt with Suning said to be demanding a transfer fee in excess of $1-million — for a player they clearly don’t want. He spent last season out on loan to Swiss side Grasshoppers.

It’s also believed he knocked back a significant offer from Saudi Arabia in order to pursue a dream move to Europe.
If Sainsbury does sign for QPR, he will link up with fellow Socceroo Massimo Luongo at Lofts Road.
Meanwhile, Aaron Mooy has been linked to both Newcastle United and West Ham after his stellar showing at the World Cup.

Mooy still has two years remaining on his contract with Huddersfield Town and the Terriers are unlikely to let him go.
