Barcelona made second Willian bid
Barcelona made second Willian bid
According to Sky Sports sources, Barcelona have officially tabled a second bid for Chelsea star Willian. The deal is said to be worth around £53 million which is only marginally up from the first bid, although there’s always the possibility of add-ons being included in that as well. Willian has been one of Barca’s primary targets for the better part of three months now according to the report, and while Manchester United were also said to be interested, it seems as if the Spanish giants are still the overwhelming favourites to secure his signature.
The 29-year-old received a great deal of praise for his performances at the World Cup with Brazil this summer, despite the fact that they crashed out of the tournament at the quarter-final stage against Belgium. As we look ahead to the start of the new season, it’ll be interesting to see whether or not this deal gets wrapped up before the start of the Premier League campaign.
